Arcade toolkit · docs.arcade.dev

Arcade's Imgflip toolkit lets LLMs interact with the Imgflip API to discover meme templates and generate captioned memes programmatically.

Capabilities

  • Template discovery — retrieve the most popular meme templates ordered by usage, or search Imgflip's database of 1M+ templates by keyword to find specific themes or niche formats
  • Meme creation — generate a captioned meme from any template ID, with control over top/bottom text, font choice, and text sizing
  • Template metadata — every result surfaces the template ID, name, preview URL, and caption count, making it easy to chain discovery into creation

Secrets

This toolkit requires Imgflip account credentials. Register for a free account at imgflip.com/api.

  • IMGFLIP_USERNAME — your Imgflip account username, set during registration at imgflip.com/signup. Required to authenticate meme-creation API calls.
  • IMGFLIP_PASSWORD — the password for that same Imgflip account. The Imgflip API accepts credentials as plain POST parameters; no token exchange is involved.

Store both secrets in Arcade using the Arcade secrets guide or add them directly via the Arcade dashboard.
